The are the steps to purchase a ProfitTrailer Hetzner VPS
Navigate to the ProfitTrailer shop. https://profittrailer.com/shop
Here you click on the ProfitTrailer category
On this page you click on ProfitTrailer Hetner VPS
Now you can choose the type of VPS you want.
We have Shared CPU VPS and Dedicated VPS
Shared VPS are normally cheaper but in our case we are using a bit more powerful VPS to make sure the bots are running fine.
As a rule of thumb take about 1-1.5GB to run 1 bot. So if you want to run 4 bots. Take 8GB VPS to be safe
Actual memory usage depends on how many strategies you will be running, how many pairs the bot will look at etc.
Choose the VPS you want and click on Buy now
On the checkout screen choose your payment method, agree to our terms and click to finalize the buy.
After which, depending on your payment method you will need to send the money to us.
After your payment is complete you get to this screen where it shows you that your and payment was received.
Click on your account to go to your account once you have made your payment.
In your account you will be able to see a menu link called My Bots
Here you will be able to see all the VPS you own with us.
On the “my bots” page you will see your VPS.
Note that it takes 5 minutes for your VPS to be up and running. With SSL and everything.
After the 5 minutes if you refresh the my bots page you will get to see this.
This means your VPS is up and running and a random domain was generated for you that you can use.
PTManager is already installed on your VPS and you can use that to create your bots.
Click on the open link to open PTManager for your specific VPS.
¶ Setup ProfitTrailer Manager Guide
If you clicked to open your VPS ProfitTrailer Manager you should see the below screen on first time setup.
ProfitTrailer Manager will ask you for a Random System Id.
There you will input your random domain name. In our case: hkrdh0rgczgimlaijitd.manager.profittrailer.com
When you copy it watch out for spaces
Now also create a strong password.
If you have entered the correct domain and put in your new password you will come to the following screen.
¶ Create a Bot guide
Now to create your first ProfitTrailer Bot. Just click on the Big + icon.
You will get a popup asking you to enter basically a bot name .
Choose a logical name and press on Create
It will take about 1-2 minute for the data to download and the bot to start up.
After waiting the bot will show up.
Wait for it to show this blue dot indicating it is ready for setup.
click the link out icon indicated by the red square to open your ProfitTrailer Bot and to enter your license, keys etc.
You can add PTManager to your browser favorites to quickly visit it on a later time. Or you can always go through the My Bots page.
