This guide will provide information on everything that you see in the web GUI.
With default settings you can access the GUI when the bot is running by visiting http://localhost:8081 on the same computer as the bot.
If you are still in the setup process see the Initial Setup Guide.
These sections are visible on every page of the GUI.

The green/yellow dot indicates the status of the data cycle. Yellow indicates it is refreshing and gathering the latest data from the exchange. Green indicates it successfully retrieved the data a short time ago. You should see a yellow refresh every 5 seconds or less.
In the footer you'll see the following information.
PT Version
- The Version number of your ProfitTrailer bot.
Market
- The exchange and the market you have chosen.
Uptime
- The length of time your ProfitTrailer instance has been running.
Time
- Your local time as configured with server.timezone_offset

Actions available for the current circumstance.(false_cross)
- When using a CROSS strategy this indicates a cross has not occurred within the required cross_candles.
(false_spread)
- When using a CROSS strategy this indicates the required spread has not been reached.
(false_sm / false_signal_missed)
- When using buy_on_first_signal this indicates you just started the bot or changed to a strategy using the buy_on_first_signal setting and the signal was missed.
(false_signal_past)
- When using buy_on_first_signal this indicates your strategy did go true but the buy conditions were not met and a buy was not made this time.
(false_le / false_limit_exceeded)
- The Buy Strategy Value (BSV) is beyond the buy_strategy_limit you have set.
(false_lblm / false_label_mismatch)
- The signal received is configured with a label and/or the label does not match the signal buy_strategy_label.
TOO NEW
- The coin is newer than allowed by pair_min_listed_days.
MAX PAIRS
- You have more pairs than allowed by max_trading_pairs
MAX SPREAD
- The spread between lowest ask and highest bid is greater than allowed by DEFAULT_max_buy_spread
SOM ENABLED
- Sell Only Mode is on so new purchases will not be made.
REBUY TIMEOUT
- The coin was recently sold and is on a cool down (shown in minutes). Set with DEFAULT_buy_timeout_after_sell.
MIN BUY VOLUME
- The coins 24 hour volume is below your DEFAULT_min_buy_volume setting.
PANIC SELL ENABLED
- You have DEFAULT_panic_sell_enabled = true. Buying now will cause an instant loss.
SOM STATE UNKNOWN
- The bot is unable to determine if it should be in SOM or not. Ensure your SOM_trigger_length and Sell only mode settings are not blank (set to 0 to disable). Restarting the bot may resolve this if it is a connection issue.
SELL WALL DETECTED
- A large sell order has been detected. See DEFAULT_sell_wall_diff_percentage and DEFAULT_sell_wall_orderbook_depth
BALANCE CANNOT BE 0
- The bot will not trade if your balance in your market currency is 0. This is an API error safeguard.
MIN/MAX CHANGE PERC
- The 24 hour price change is outside the range set. See DEFAULT_buy_min_change_percentage and DEFAULT_buy_max_change_percentage
INSUFFICIENT BALANCE
- You do not have sufficient available balance to complete this purchase.
BUY VALUE BELOW DUST
- your DEFAULT_initial_cost is below the exchange trade minimum.
PRICE DROP
- SOM is enabled due to PRICE DROP TRIGGER
PRICE RISE
- SOM is enabled due to PRICE RISE TRIGGER
BLOCKED
- a timeout (typically 10 seconds) to prevent double actions taking place on a trade. Blocked means that here is some action taking place with that pair (i.e. the pair is currently being sold or bought or just had a DCA) so ProfitTrailer blocks other processes until the action is completed.
Formulas
If you are using a buy/sell formula, the format of the formula will also show in the buy/sell column.
Formula - A || (B && D)
- The buy will look for strategy A to be true OR for strategies B AND D to be true; Either result will trigger the event.
The red color denotes the strategy is false and a green color denotes the strategy is true.

Server Settings > Exchange URL.
Current Value - The Current Value of your holding of the coin based on the highest Bid Order on the order book.
Bought Cost - The Bought Cost of your holding of the coin. i.e What you have spent buying it.
(When using DCA) Buy Strategies - The Buy Strategies in use for the coin. See DEFAULT_DCA_A_buy_strategy
. It will indicate (true) if in the buy zone and (true trailing) if the strategies are true and the bot is trailing. You might also see a reason why the coin will not be bought.
The letter for each strategy will also be listed beside the strategy name. (If the strategy A shows on the interface as PROFITPERCENTAGE it will show A:PROFITPERCENTAGE)
BSV
The Buy Strategy Value is the current calculated value for the corresponding strategy.
BST
The Buy Strategy Trigger is the buy_value set for the corresponding strategy.
BSL

Coin
- The pair name formatted according to the exchange and the relative price change of the coin over 24 hours. Click the coin name to be taken to the exchange or set a custom URL using the Server Settings > Exchange URL

Perc Change
- The 24 hour price percentage change.
Average Price
- The average price for the coin.
Current Price
- The current price for the coin.
Target Price
- The Target Price shows the price at which the sell order has been set.
Profit
- The Profit Percentage is the difference between the Target Price and the Bid Price. If you set a high sell value then this will show how far away you are from that sale (fees are considered)
Target Profit
- The Target Profit shows the price at which the sell order has been set.
Combined Profit
- If the same coin is bought again and is in the Pairs or DCA log the Combined Profit in Percentage is displayed to show your combined position for that coin. (averages the two holdings).
Bought Cost
- The total cost of bought price x amount.
Current Value
- The Current Value of the coins in the sell order based on the highest Bid Order on the order book.
Target Value
- The Target Value of the coins in the sell order based on the Target Price.
Buttons
- Actions available for the current circumstance.
Date
- The Date and Local Time of the purchase of the coin. In brackets, the number of days since the buy.
Coin
- The pair name formatted according to the exchange and the relative price change of the coin over 24 hours. Click the coin name to be taken to the exchange or set a custom URL using the Server Settings > Exchange URL
.
Buy Type
- DCA or initial purchase.
Order Number
- The unique exchange order number associated with this trade.
Buy
- The Buy Strategies used to make the purchase. The letter for each strategy will also be listed beside the strategy name (if the strategy A was shown on the interface as RSI it will show A:RSI).
Bought Price
- The price paid at the time of the buy. - The number of DCA buy times if the coin was DCA'd.
Bought Amount
- The amount of coins bought.
Bought Cost
- The total cost of bought price x amount.
Volume
- The market currency volume of the coin at the time of the buy.
Buttons
- Actions available for the current circumstance.
Use the Add New Record
button to open a dialog window to add a buy record to the log.
The Coin needs to follow the same format as the other coins you see in the different log areas, such as the Possible Buy Log, Pairs log, etc.
Use the search box to filter any data in the Sales Log (excluding the number of days in brackets in the Date Column).
Use the drop down box to select how many rows to show per page. 10, 25, 50 or 100.

Date
- The Date and Local Time of the sale of the coin. In brackets, the number of days since the sale.
Coin
- The pair name formatted according to the exchange and the relative price change of the coin over 24 hours. Click the coin name to be taken to the exchange or set a custom URL using the Server Settings > Exchange URL

Profit
- The Profit Percentage is the percentage of profit you made on the trade based on the Bought Price and Sell Price recorded and taking the highest possible fee charged by the exchange into account.
Sell
- The Sell Strategies used in the sale of the coin. The letter for each strategy will also be listed beside the strategy name. (If the strategy A was shown on the interface as LOWBB it will show A:LOWBB).
Profit Currency
- The Profit from the trade in the configured market (minus the highest possible fee charged by the exchange).
Bought Price
- The average price paid for the coins that were sold in the market currency.
Sold Price
- The sold price for the coins in the market currency. - The number of DCA buy times if the coin was DCA'd.
Sold Amount
- The Sold Amount of the coin.
Bought Cost
- The total spent on the purchase of the coins in the market currency.
Sold Value
- The total value of the sale in the market currency.

Use the Add New Sales Record
button to open a dialog window to add a sales record to the log.
The Coin needs to follow the same format as the other coins you see in the different log areas, such as the Possible Buy Log, Pairs log, etc.
The miscellaneous coins log areas display the current state of coins in Dust, Reserved, and Reversal status.
The dust log is filled with small amounts of coins leftover from trades that are below the minimum trading size on the exchange, if they grow in value they can return to pairs and be sold. They can also be combined with any new purchases of the coin sold by ProfitTrailer.
Date
- The Date and Local Time of the sale of the coin. In brackets, the number of days since the sale.
Coin
- The pair name formatted according to the exchange and the relative price change of the coin over 24 hours. Click the coin name to be taken to the exchange or set a custom URL using the Server Settings > Exchange URL

Perc Change
- The 24 hour price percentage change.
Profit
- The Profit from the trade in the configured market (minus the highest possible fee charged by the exchange).
Bid Price
- The current highest Bid Price in the order book for the coin.
Bought Price
- The Price you have paid for the quantity of the coin you currently own.
Current Value
- The Current Value of your holding of the coin based on the highest Bid Order on the order book.
Bought Value
- The Bought Value of your holding of the coin. i.e What you have spent buying it.
Volume
- The Volume, measured in the market currency of the coin, traded in the last 24 hours.
Total Amount
- The Total Amount of the coin that you own.

The reserved log displays the amount of reserved coin you currently hold. Reserved coin will not be actively traded but instead held in reserve. Reserved coin must be manually released.
Date
- The Date and Local Time of the placement of the coin into reserved status.
Coin
- The pair name formatted according to the exchange and the relative price change of the coin over 24 hours. Click the coin name to be taken to the exchange or set a custom URL using the Server Settings > Exchange URL

Total Amount
- The Total Amount of the coin that you own.
Average Price
- The Average Price you have paid for quantity of the coin you currently own.

- The Total Amount of the coin that you own.
Avg. Price
- The Average Price you have paid for quantity of the coin you currently own.
Cur. Price
- The current best price on the exchange order book for the coin.
Target Price
- The target price, according to your strategy.
Sold Price
- The price the coins were sold for to start the reversal.
Current Profit
- The current profit percentage.
Target Profit
- The profit percentage at which the coin will rebuy.
Sold Profit
- The profit percentage at which the coin was sold.
Total Cost
- The Total Cost of your holding of the coin. i.e what you have spent buying it.

The Configuration is the only method for editing the PAIRS, DCA and INDICATORS configurations.
In the Other Configs screen, click the dropdown menu to select a different config.
Open a search dialog to find specific text.
Save any changes you have made.
Copy the config displayed and save with a new name.
Download the configuration files for the displayed config.
Rename the config displayed.
Click this to delete the configuration being displayed.
The Stats tab will open the Statistics pages.
The stats page is only available to Pro/Advanced license holders.
Daily Profits
- Daily Profits over time.
Daily: Spent vs Earned
- Daily spending vs earning over time.
Daily: Buys vs Sales
- Daily number of buys vs sales.
Cumulative PnL
- The sum of the accrued PNL for every trade.
Monthly Profits
- Monthly Profits over time.
Monthly: Spent vs Earned
- Monthly spending vs earning over time.
Monthly: Buys vs Sales
- Monthly number of buys vs sales.
Sales Distribution
- Breakdown of what triggers have been used to make sales.
Draw Down
- Visualisation of peak-to-trough decline during a specific period
Total Current Value
- Fluctuation in TCV (Total Current Value) over time.
Avg Trade Duration (hours)
- The average duration of your trades (in hours).
Most Profitable Pairs
- Graph containing the most profitable pairs traded by your strategy (from left to right).
Least Profitable Pairs
- Graph containing the least profitable pairs traded by your strategy (from left to right).
Most Sold Pairs
- Graph containing the most sold pairs traded by your strategy (from left to right).
Sell DCA Count
- Graph displaying the amount of sells per DCA count.
Daily Stats
- Daily statistics containing the total buys and sells, total costs, total profit/loss and growth percentage.
Monthly Stats
- Monthly statistics containing the total buys and sells, total costs, total profit/loss and growth percentage over month.
Sales Distribution
- Amount of sales per type (TSL, SL, Gain, etc...)
Most Profitable Pairs
- Graph containing the most profitable pairs traded by your strategy.
Least Profitable Pairs
- Graph containing the least profitable pairs traded by your strategy.
Most Sold Pairs
- Graph containing the most sold pairs traded by your strategy.
Cumulative PnL
- The sum of the accrued PNL for every trade.
Sell DCA Count
- List displaying the amount of sells per DCA count.
Total Current Value
- Daily statistics of your net-value including profit/losses.
If you are a Pro/Advanced User and have the Advanced Stats button enabled in the User Settings, you will see extra sales and trailing statistics in the GUI.
Statistics are only available where applicable.
STATS-TSL
- Trailing Stoploss - Identifies a trailing stop loss sales trigger.
STATS-TPS
- Take Profit Safety - Identifies a Take Profit Safety sales trigger.
STATS-SL
- Stop Loss - Identifies a Stop Loss sales trigger.
STATS-AS
- After Sale - Tracks the price action for 24 hours after a coin has sold and only while the bot is running.
STATS-DD
- DrawDown - Displays the Peak, Bottom, and Drawdown of your active pairs.

- Lowest Price - The lowest coin price reached.H

The Account Settings tab will open the Account Settings pages.
All server and user settings are located here.
The account settings pages have text entry boxes and buttons for enabling/disabling features.
Text entry boxes have a place to enter your text for that particular setting and also a description of each individual setting below the text entry box.
Application Port
- The port that is being used by the bot. Change this value to something unique (like 8082, etc) if you want to start other instances of the bot on the same machine.
Site Name
- Set the unique text you wish to appear in the browser tab (website title). This it also used in Discord and Telegram Notifications.
Api Token
- This optional token can be used to allow third party applications to connect to your BOT via a built in API. (You can click the linked text in this area to generate a random string).
PTFeeder Location
- The PTFeeder root folder location. If you do not use PTFeeder, leave this blank.
Server Address
- Bind the Profit trailer instance to a specific WAN/Public IP address. Useful for uses with multiple public IP addresses and multiple bots.
Server Context Path
- Adds a custom base url to the Web server. Using the example '/binancebtc' you would now access ProfitTrailer from http://localhost:8081/binancebtc/monitoring.
Requires bot restart.
Exchange URL
- Define a custom url to be used when a coin pair is clicked in the Web GUI. The %c and %b values are variables based on the coin pair being clicked.
If you want to link to TV instead of the exchange this is also possible.
Log History
- Set how many days of sell/buy log history to show in the GUI. Once the set number of days passes, older history will be removed from the bot.
Process Speed
- Sets the process speed of the bot. Will affect CPU usage. Make sure your system can handle the change.
Custom Exchange Fee
- Set a custom exchange fee to be used by the bot other than the bot default. Useful when using for example BNB for fees.
Run in Test Mode
- Enable (blue) or disable (grey) this setting to use test mode in your bot.
Allow Support Access
- Allow support to PT staff (applicable when creating a support-ticket).
Start Balance
- The balance you had when first starting. Also used to calculate TCV based profit %.
Test Mode Balance
- Set or change the starting Balance for test bots. Decimals higher than or equal to 0.
Profit Calculation Method
- The method used to calculate profit displayed on the GUI. Choose MARKUP or TCV. For a description of how they calculate, click here.
Buy Order Type
- The order type you want ProfitTrailer to buy with.
Sell Order Type
- The order type you want ProfitTrailer to sell with.Trading Delay
- The start delay prevents the bot from trading for the set number of minutes after bootup. This parameter is designed to give you enough time to place the bot in Sell Only Mode (SOM), or to disable trading, or change your buy/sell strategies before it resumes trading.Theme

The notifications settings control startup, shutdown, buy, and sell messages that are sent to your Discord or Telegram account(s).

- A separate channel for new SIGNAL notifications to be sent to. If nothing is set, Chat from discord instance 1 will be used instead.

Chat
- The channel name in which the discord bot will post notifications. Do not use a hash(#) in the name, use only the channel name.
The Test Settings button will send a test message to your discord bot and will show a successful test message if the settings are correct.
Sell Message
- Configure a custom sell message output format (optional). Available variables: dcaCount, instanceName, strategies, quantity, rate, total, profit, dollar, boughtDate, percentage.
Buy Message
- Configure a custom buy message output format (optional). Available variables: dcaCount, instanceName, quantity, rate, avgCost, total, percentage
Error Message
- Add error messages that need to be ignored, seperated by a comma; i.e. SomeKindOfExchangeError,AnotherExchangeError. Examples: BinanceWebSocketAdapterKline,APIKEY_INVALID

Protection Against Balance Errors
- Set to a number higher than 0 to protect yourself against exchange balance errors. Time is set in minutes.
Protection Against Unavailable Service
- Set to a number higher than 0 to protect yourself against exchange services unavailable. Time is set in minutes.

- Select the signal providers you want this bot to accept signals from. Leave ALL Disabled to accept signals from ALL your providers.
You can select from the following list of providers
- Your list will be different from others. There will be buttons to Enable (blue) or disable (grey), for each of your active signal subscriptions.

- A list of current available signal providers. Click on the 'Go to product' link below each provider to navigate to the ProfitTrailer web shop.
Save Signal Provider Settings
- Click this button to save your settings for this screen.
The PT Assistant settings tab contains the settings required for exchange API key usage, Voucher usage and information about your license.
Redeem Voucher
- Enter a valid Voucher Key.
Click on the Redeem Voucher
button to redeem the selected voucher key.
Current Api Keys
- Lists your current API keys and the last active time the key was used.
To “remove” a key from the bot, simply stop using the API key and stop the bot for 10 minutes.
After the time has elapsed and a restart, the key slot will be available for use.
